Ideal candidate will perform accounting duties for a non-profit organization that is funded by state, federal and private grants.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Premier.  Candidate will demonstrate an ability to perform grant/government accounting which is a style of cost accounting where costs are allocated across several grants that have restrictions on spending and budget maximums for each category of costs. This entails processing complex accounts payables for our organization and our sub-contractors.  Must have payroll experience for processing bi-weekly payroll for 12 employees, process payroll tax deposits, quarterly tax and workman's comp reports and payments, annual W2's. This position will assist volunteers with our intake software issues and questions. This position also provides support to the operations manager. At a minimum, a person with proven proficiency in Cost Accounting, QuickBooks Premier and Excel may obtain training depending on their skill level and experience.  This would be a rare opportunity to learn government/fund accounting for a highly motivated trainee. Ideal candidate will also have an opportunity to advance to a management position, depending on skills, experience and requisite amount of training. Work culture is dress casual and there is some flexibility in the work schedule.  Office hours are Monday through Thursday either 7am or 8 am to 3pm.
