Software Engineering Advisors (Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc., Morris Plains, NJ): Partner with multiple vendors to create estimates and delivery plans for projects or programs across an application family; Provide technology leadership and delivery accountability for solutions for multiple concurrent projects within an application family (i.e. Claims, C&PS, or CS&DW); Identify and implement process enhancement opportunities associated with supporting the application area; Ensure quality of technology delivery of multiple vendors’ technology solutions for multiple concurrent projects; Partner with architects to set direction for maturing use of/retiring/adding technology components in the ESI environment; Provide technical guidance to projects/programs for complex components of multiple technology suites; Create detailed specifications or designs and conduct quality assurance review of peer’s application programming; Maintain software application programs by coding, testing, and debugging documents; Participate in efforts to develop standard practices, components, guidelines for use of complex technology components; and Provide technical leadership to teams to resolve urgent and high production incidents. Partial work from home benefit available.Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in any engineering field and 2 years of experience as a Project Manager, Associate - Projects, or in a related occupation. Requires experience with: Coordinating the designing, coding, unit testing, integration testing, and final implementation during releases; Developing tier coding, business layer coding, interface development, service development, and creation of stored procedures; Creating design documents; Coding to identify standards applicable for applications; Developing code for core critical modules; Testing functional test cases; and Using: SQL, COBOL, JCL, REXX, IMS DB, DB2, CICS, Teradata, File-Aid, Xpeditor, SPUFI, and Endevor.Send resumes to: James.Ko@evernorth.com
