Eaton Corporation Senior Program Manager - Data Governance in Moon Township, Pennsylvania

Eaton's Corporate IT Team is hiring a Senior Program Manager, Data Governance. This position requires 10% travel. No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Cleveland, OH, Houston, TX, Galesburg, MI, Milwaukee, WI, Pittsburgh, PA, or Raleigh, NC to be considered.

As Eaton's Program Manager for Enterprise Data Governance, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data governance policies, processes, and technologies across the organization. You will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data governance products, and communicate across executive leadership and domain data teams. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data-related issues, and to ensure that data governance policies are being adopted and followed. You will define and enforce data governance standards across the organization, including data observability, lifecycle management, quality, security, and privacy, align with cyber and compliance. You will partner with Eaton data domain owners to define federated governance standards and ensure adherence to architecture standards within a domain. You will also establish a data governance framework that encapsulates KPI’s for data quality, data accessibility, data discovery and security. Your role will be crucial for enhancing trust in governed data flows and delivering value from the data that matters at Eaton.

What you’ll do:

  1. Leverage deep data governance expertise and industry standards to develop and implement approachable, scalable, and business aligned data governance policies and processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across key data elements within prioritized data domains.

  2. Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data governance technology products, and deliver tailored communication to executive stakeholders and hands-on data teams. Starting with our Data Catalog, you will establish mutli-layered approach of data maturity and drive standard data curation across domains with scale in mind. You will drive the data assessments technologies to support Data Observability, Data Lifecycle Management, Data Quality and Artificial Intelligence Governance.

  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data-related issues, and to ensure that data governance policies are being followed through operationalization of council meetings and oversight of day-to-day projects aligned to business domain use-cases.

  4. Define and enforce data governance standards across the organization, including data quality, security, and privacy, align with cyber and compliance through partnerships with Eaton data domain owners to deploy federated governance standards and ensure adherence to architecture standards within a domain.

  5. Guide federated teams to effectively monitor and assess for data quality across various data flows, systems, and databases, identify areas for improvement and actively enhance data accuracy and consistency through a data quality dashboard.

  6. Define and manage metadata standards to facilitate effective data cataloging (ie. classification, search, and retrieval). Inclusive of business, technical and operational metadata.

  7. Deploy and maintain reliable metadata repositories and catalogs, ensuring consistent documentation of data assets, relationships, and lineage.

  8. Facilitate regular data stewardship meetings and workshops to educate stakeholders and address data governance-related concerns, identify and assign data ownership responsibilities.

  9. Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on data governance principles, policies, and best practices while fostering a culture of data governance awareness and accountability throughout the organization.

  10. Work with data Stewards to document and implement change management content, governance tool training, governance policy/procedure training, and additional onboarding materials for new members of the Enterprise Data Council and Domain Working Groups.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

• Minimum seven (7) years of experience in data governance, data quality, data architecture, and/or data analytics.

• Experience in working with data-related regulations and compliance standards (such as GDPR, HIPAA, or CCPA).

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science and/or information systems.

• Master’s degree.

• Certifications in data governance, data quality and/or master data management.

• A strong understanding of data architecture, databases, and storage solutions.

• Proficiency in data modeling, data lifecycle management, and data quality tools

• Familiarity with data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.

• Knowledge of cutting-edge data technologies such as cloud, big data, and AI.

• Experience in leading and managing data governance projects, teams, and initiatives.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $136500.03 - $200200.04 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
