SCOPE OF ROLE/RESPONSIBILITY

Coordinate the eu team composed by project managers, cost controller, SME for design, follow up and execution of capital projects Lead the technical discussion and selection over the region, keeping the standardization and GEP procedure as main reference, support sites with effective design capabilities. Support regional sites to address the design issue, coordinate the information and technical solutions with external design company, where awarded, for the design and execution of large capital projects. Coordinate directly with site engineering lead to provide the required support for design and execution of capital projects. Keep track of project change of scope, manage the cost tracking and project timeline, through the management of project managers belonging to his structure. Drive the discussion site by site around project governance, set regular preview for deck and go into granularity of items, help escalating issues and coordinate with eu engineering director for resource needs, manufacturer escalation, address delays. Review the full deck summary with eu engineering director and take necessary action to support sites where issues or weakness are identified Coordinate the collecting of site master plans, assist to prepare and coordinate with eu draftmans based on regular meeting with eu engineering director and site engineering leader. Presentation and discussion of site master plan remain in charge of eu engineering director. Update of SMP is in charge of eu engineering manager. Review the project schedule, as part of the project governance, for large projects >2ml$, to catch on time delays and support corrective action. Coordinate with eu engineering director specific analysis on schedule and resource implementation. Assist sites to proper evaluate schedule, issues and constrains. Review budget for changes, deep dive in hot topics, discuss with eu engineering director how to implement it and mitigate impact on cash flow.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES/MAIN ACTIVITIES

Continue to bring the company's technology and engineering leadership to differentiate Thermo Fisher in the market. Continuously improve quality and speed of processes incorporating emerging technologies. Review analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department or division progress toward stated goals and objectives; developing and maintaining department budgets. Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company. Use standard methodologies to create, track and report project and program progress. Provide leadership and guidance to support the growth and development of other engineering staff members. Work with executive, functional and site leadership teams managers and team to develop and ensure standards are maintained. Work with other regional engineering structure (eu engineering team) to develop and ensure standards are maintained Support company revenue targets by leading or supporting existing projects as assigned and support company sales initiatives. Selects, develops and evaluates staff to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Works with and advises staff on administrative policies and procedures Operate across multiple cultures and countries to achieve objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:

ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 10-35 pound pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of time; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time.
