Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR) is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team on a project supporting a US government program.
The Business Analyst's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Envision, develop, and create requirements to improve tools to streamline processes to gain efficiencies and improve key metrics.
- Responsible for collection, organization, and analyzation of data and document key findings in a requirement document and develop relevant training material.
- Apply different techniques to facilitate meetings and workshops, create a shared understanding with stakeholders, and engage team-members to produce product and portfolio roadmaps.
- Collaborates with stakeholders and product teams to decompose large epics into features and user stories that can be understood and approved by members of the development team.
- Facilitate Increment and planning sessions with clients and team members to ensure that planned work is well defined, planned, articulated, and understood.
Requirements
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Candidate must possess a NACI or OPM/NS.
- Candidate must have the ability to hold position for Public Trust with the US government.
- Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree.
- Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience functioning as a business analyst for the federal government.
- Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience using Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff.
- Scrum Master Certification preferred.
Work Environment:
Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required. Only requested and approved expenses will be covered by ANR.

The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
