About the Group:

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) within Independent Risk Management is responsible for overseeing the implementation of Citi’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework and for specific enterprise-level risk management programs and processes that span the organization, the lines of defense and various risk categories. These include risk identification, enterprise risk analytics, risk appetite & limits, new activity risk management, risk frameworks & policy, strategic risk, digital assets risk and climate risk. The group is headed by the Head of ERM who reports directly to the Citigroup Chief Risk Officer (CRO).

About the Team:

As part of ERM, Enterprise Risk Analytics & Stress Testing is responsible for Enterprise Stress Testing with Legal Entity Oversight (LEO), Material Legal Entity (MLE) Stress Testing and ICAAP execution and oversight, Firmwide Scenario Design and Expansion which cover Enterprise programs and all Legal Entities.

About the Role:

The current opening is for a Senior Vice President (C14) to lead key projects as part of the ERA Strategic Initiatives. This current opening will drive ERA related strategic initiatives, including those related to the firm’s transformation on risk & controls and other day-to-day special projects that support broader Enterprise Risk Management. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including strategy development and execution and leading initiatives that span across the entire ERA team.

Key Responsibilities: Key mandates of the role will include

  • Lead ERA team initiatives that support the broader ERM mandate (e.g., implementation of the operating model, communications)

  • Provide strategic thinking on how to operationalize the ERA mandate and work with Head of ERA & Strategy Lead in implementing target operating model in line with the broader ERM mandate.

  • Work closely and constantly with Enterprise Risk Management teams (e.g., Cross-ERM Initiatives) to drive the broader book of work to completion.

  • Work closely along with ERM CAO office to ensure that monthly deliverables; forecasts, stakeholder reporting and ad hoc requests are met for ERA.

  • Develop and implement training and a communication strategy to ensure the ERA book of work is socialized firm wide.

  • Identify, escalate and mitigate risks and issues, to delivering solutions.

  • Develop a strong understanding of Enterprise Risk Management and work on ad-hoc strategic projects for senior management.

  • Partner with internal teams to support on-time delivery of requirements and administration of issues and corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in a risk management, product management, business analysis or strategy role.

  • Experience in executing strategic projects for a large organization.

  • Demonstrated accountability for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/geographic regions.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on collaboration, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

  • Self-starter who is proactive and detail-oriented

  • Solid organizational and time management skills, supported by strong ability to multi-task and identify and escalate issues.

  • Naturally curious, and interested in diving deep to learn how things work

  • Undergraduate degree required / Master's degree preferred
