Summary:

The Account Executive will be responsible for developing superior in-store presence of client brands in a defined geographic territory with a number of assigned customers. The role will manage the client business effectively, efficiently, and in a manner compatible with the clients’ corporate and brand strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Developing assortment, shelving, pricing and merchandising strategies, based on consumer research that gives insight into what drives shopper purchase behavior.

  2. Designing business plans, which will deliver each brand volume and share objectives and help customers to develop programs, which will build the business for them and the client.

  3. Preparing and presenting promotions, pricing, merchandising, marketing information, and market development programs to assigned customers on a timely basis.

  4. Maintaining regular call cycle on all assigned customers.

  5. Maintaining accurate information in CFM.

  6. Preparing deal sheets, flyers, and survey sheets on a timely basis.

  7. Managing trade funds and other spending within client’s guidelines.

  8. Communicating well with all levels of employees at company, client, and customer locations.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum of 4-5 years of CPG industry experience.

Specific Skills: Communication skills, including listening, presentations, written and verbal skills. Insights-based, consultative selling and negotiation skills. Business acumen including market and industry trends. Good organizational and time management skills. Customer service orientation. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Excel with Pivot tables, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Driver’s License is required.

Work environment: Home office environment with some travel
