Job Title: Animal Research Tech III - Non-Exempt

Job Description

As an Animal Research Tech III, you will be responsible for the comprehensive care of animals used in research and development studies. Key responsibilities include feeding and caring for animals, cleaning cages, maintaining animal inventory and identification records, and ensuring the biosafety and biosecurity of the animals. You will also assist and support veterinarians with surgery, dosing, postoperative care, and monitoring of animal studies. Additionally, you will perform technical support tasks in production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement, or product development. You will use schematics, diagrams, and other technical data to perform testing and troubleshooting on various systems. This role involves running minor projects, interpreting data, developing reports, and occasionally leading efforts to optimize work processes. You are expected to work with considerable judgment and may have ownership of minor projects. Furthermore, you will be responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within your job area.
