The student will assist programing and graphic design work relevant to Dr. Zhang's research. The student who holds this position will work directly with Dr. Zhang to perform computation tasks that support image processing and visualization of the protein structures. Through the student's work, Dr. Zhang's lab will be able to employ virtual reality technology in 3D structure visualization and presentation.The student will also involve in development of several computation tools. Job duties: 1) Set up Virtual reality visualization tool in the lab. 2) Expand functionality of customized image processing programs using C, python, and Linux shell scripts. 3) Design graphic interface to facilitate interactive operations of functional programs. Qualifications Preferred qualifications: computer science or computer engineering major.
