Description Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Tax Accountant. The Tax Accountant assists with financial and income tax statements, making sure that they comply with tax laws by filing their federal and state tax returns. If you are a deadline driven Tax Accountant with excellent attention to detail and highly organized, this may be the role for you!

How you will make an impact

• Advise management on new tax laws or the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies

• Develop solutions for complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings

• Manage the company's tax database and put together tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, and reports

• Organize any outsourced tax preparation work

• Accurately assemble annual and quarterly tax reports

• Stay informed on tax changes and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, participating in professional organizations, keeping up with professional networks and reading professional publications

• Confirm that clients comply with federal, state and local tax regulations

• Recognize ways to improve profits and tax savings Requirements - Must be a creative thinker and have strong problem-solving skills

• Demonstrated organizational skills

• Strong time management skills preferred

• Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting or relevant field required

• 2+ years of public or corporate tax

• Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• CPA highly preferred
