Genesis10 Security Operations Engineer in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Genesis10 is seeking a Security Operations Engineer for a contract with our client in Minneapolis, MN. 100% Remote. Job Description: The Tritura Security Operations Engineer will support and maintain Tritura's growing cloud infrastructure and its Azure-hosted systems. The Tritura Security Operations Engineer will be a technical subject matter expert for Tritura's Azure environment. Key Responsibilities: Security Operations of Azure and Hosted Servers Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Tritura's information systems and sensitive information. Deploy, manage, maintain, and monitor security systems and their corresponding or associated software, including Palo Alto firewalls, Azure Sentinel Security Event and Incident Management (SEIM) solution, intrusion detection systems, cryptography systems, and anti-virus software. Monitor, triage and investigate security alerts for indicators of compromise. Responsible for detecting and initiating Tritura's Incident Response Plan in response to cybersecurity threats. Assist in security audit processes including internal security reviews, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and ISO 27001 certification. Maintain virtual networks, provision network segmentation and network security groups for Azure cloud-based environment. Manage and provision Tritura PKI including public facing and internally managed certificates. Manage and provision identity authentication and authorization for Tritura's information systems. Responsible for hardening of Linux and Windows servers, cloud-based services and active directory domains. Manage and maintain security aspects of group policy and baseline images. Maintain and test disaster recovery plan for computer operating systems, databases, networks, servers, and software applications Frequently assess the need for any security reconfigurations (minor or significant) and execute them if required Recommend, schedule, and perform security improvements, upgrades, and/or purchases 70% Infrastructure and Technical Operations Support Assist Technical Operations in the management of the servers of the company Assist Technical Operations in servicing user requests for account management on servers of the company Create, maintain and update best practices documentation and model documents available internally for Azure environment Research and advise on evolving cloud offerings in Azure Conduct root cause analysis for failures to diagnose underlying issues Provision azure servers and resources for the cloud environment. Perform regular maintenance in concert with Technical Operations Team 30% Required Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent years of related experience 3+ years' experience as System Administrator or Information Security Specialist Experience with Windows Server and Linux virtual machines Experience with network firewalls or Azure Network Security Groups Solid understanding of SSL/TLS certificates and Public Key Infrastructure Experience managing an IDS, SIEM and vulnerability management solutions Preferred Requirements: Certified information systems security professional (CISSP) Experience deploying and maintaining firewalls in Azure (Palo Alto and similar) Solid understanding of RBAC models and SSO solutions (SAML 2, OAuth 2, OIDC) Proficient in system hardening and patch management strategies History of working on a Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) investigating events, triaging potential incidents, containing environments, conducting forensics analysis Familiarity with security frameworks and risk-based security programs Solid fundamentals in webapp and network pen testing ESSENTIAL CORE COMPETENCIES In addition to the essential job duties, the following are requisite physical, mental and//or performance requirements of the positions: Ability to problem-solve. Ability to work effectively with co-workers in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. This role does not have a consistent travel expectation; however, there may be travel from time- to- time. Compensation: Hourly W2 pay rate $55.00-$60.00 We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
