Mortenson Construction Planning and Scheduling Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota
M. A. Mortenson Company seeks a full-time Planning & Scheduling Manager. The Planning & Scheduling Manager performs non-routine planning and scheduling assignments that require the selection and application of complex scheduling principles and techniques on highly complex construction projects. This position requires a Master's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field and three (3) years of related experience in the construction industry. In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field and five (5) years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience in the construction industry. Must also have 24 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting construction documents (drawings, specifications, contracts/general conditions) at all levels of design to determine variables and factors to be considered in construction management schedules; (2) implementing, estimating, and scheduling cost process and procedure of design and construction management programs and determining and incorporating project constraints in planning efforts; (3) reviewing cost and resource loaded schedules to drive earned value analysis with project schedules; (4) implementing basic claims avoidance and resolution techniques and generating and recommending mitigation options to correct scheduling problems on construction projects; and (5) working with Scheduling and Project Management Software Programs: Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC), Resource Loading, Earned Value Management (EVM), Time Impact Analysis (TIAs), Synchro 4D Scheduling, Procore, Last Planner System, and MS Office. Will accept experience gained before, during, or after Master's program. All experience may have been gained concurrently. May telecommute from any location in the United States.
