Ensures stability, reliability, and performance. Deploys standardized applications and uses new tools. Creates innovative and sustainable solutions. Leverages multiple tools and systems. Manages large scope of diverse devices that may include imaging, application packaging, delivery, patching and security. Job Duties: 80 Percent: Device Management Govern Windows Servers and Virtual Machines Regulate device membership in Active Directory (AD) groups to identify inclusion among departments, buildings, and workgroups. Maintain AD groups that can be queried to populate Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)/Jamf Pro device collections. Administer and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs) Oversee device membership in MECM/Jamf Pro collections to effectively deploy software and manage policy settings. Maintain and update deployable software packages, task sequences, and pre-stage enrollment profiles. Harness Apple Device Enrollment Program and Mobile Device Management (MDM) capabilities of Jamf Pro to simplify enrollment and setup processes. Review device configuration to ensure success and identify trouble areas including hardware inconsistencies or incompatibility. Configure and maintain Information of Things (IoT) device policies. 20 Percent: Information Security/Other Technical Systems Support Remediate security vulnerabilities identified within Qualys Handle file sharing, printing, and server permissions Respond to security alerts or incidents following University Information Security (UIS) best practices for threat eradication and device replacement. Qualifications Qualifications: Required: BA/BS degree or a combination of related education and work experience to equal at least four years. Previous experience working at an IT Service Desk or related. Experience with device management tools. Ability to establish and maintain a respectful and trusting relationship with staff and student athletes. Enthusiasm for troubleshooting infrastructure issues. Preferred: Strong understanding of device configuration through MECM and Jamf Pro. Experience with Microsoft AD Security Groups and permissions handling. Firm grasp on Microsoft Group Policy Management Console. Exposure to PowerShell. Takes on the challenge of unfamiliar tasks and experiments to enhance learning. Annual salary for this position is $55,000-$57,500.
