Learn more about Aeon at www.aeon.org. Position Summary The Corporate Giving Officer is a member of Aeon's Resource Development team, which is responsible for driving revenue for the organization. Under the supervision of the Giving Manager, the Corporate Giving Officer manages, cultivates, solicits, stewards, and retains a donor portfolio of Aeon's vendors, strategic partners and other institutional sponsors to generate revenue in support of Aeon's mission. Essential functions include, but are not limited to: Actively collaborate as a member of Aeon's Resource Development Team to help generate more than $1M annually from corporate vendors, strategic partners and other institutional sponsors to support Aeon's mission. Cultivate, steward and solicit a portfolio of approximately 150 assigned Aeon donors to meet annual financial and quantitative goals. Develop and implement a stewardship and solicitation strategy for each assigned donor throughout the year, leveraging fundraising opportunities to meet goals. Partner as a member of Aeon event teams to maximize fundraising opportunities and results in regards to donor sponsorship and to support strong design and execution of events. Collaborate with internal partners and lead coordination of group volunteer experiences involving corporate sponsors, as appropriate, as a donor cultivation and service impact strategy. Partner among the Resource Development Team to build, implement and monitor the Team's strategy for identifying, engaging, and stewarding Aeon's broader donor portfolio. Maintain best practices for donor stewardship, tracking interactions and ensuring timely acknowledgement and follow-up on all gifts. Identify, qualify, and cultivate new donor prospects to grow the size and impact of vendors, strategic partners and other institutional sponsors on Aeon's mission. Assist with stewarding donors outside of your assigned portfolio (such as annual fund donors, staff donors, and other managed donors), as needed. Ensure all donor interactions are tracked accurately in Salesforce. Develop a thorough understanding of the affordable housing climate in the Twin Cities and be prepared to speak to Aeon's role in this ecosystem with supporters. Champion a culture of philanthropy that celebrates donors and engages employees as ambassadors for Aeon. Qualifications At least three years of demonstrated ability to successfully solicit gifts; or experience in sales, marketing, public relations or related fields with emphasis on relationship development and progressively successful solicitation of individuals or organizations. Driven to meet and exceed fundraising goals. Has the ability to be creative in achieving results. Does not give up. Strong ability to engage in interpersonal interactions that are culturally responsive, ensuring consideration for differing needs and expectations. Outgoing, with a strong ability to make an excellent first impression; can put others at ease. Is genuine and compassionate, and an active listener. Communicates well one on one, in small groups and with public speaking. Bias for taking action and appreciation for spending significant amounts of time connecting with donors by phone, email, written communications, and in person. Ability to exercise judgement and appropriately handle confidential matters and information. Strong organization and planning skills; ability to work independently and efficiently. Sense of ownership, accountability, and a deep passion for the mission and values of Aeon. Must have a commitment to learning and participating in Aeon's diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce a plus. Compensation This full time, salaried position pays between $60,000 and $75,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications.
