Description:

• The collections specialist is responsible for making outbound and taking inbound calls from patients regarding their outstanding medical bills.

• Explain to patients their insurance coverage, deductible, copay, etc.

• De-escalate patient and address questions and concerns

• Facilitate payment plans or obtain payment in full

• Maintain patient records and documentation

• This position is commissions eligible after 6 months.

• Commission is based on their individual collections and also the team's collection goal.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of collections experience (preferred)

• Knowledge and experience with medical insurance and medical billing process is preferred.

• 2 years of call center/customer service experience

• High School Diploma

  Work Environment

• 60 days of onsite training in Brooklyn Center. Will train with a Sr. Collector, Team Lead, or Supervisor.

• Will be remote after training with occasional days in office for team days.

• Equipment will be provided when transitioning to working from home.

• Monday - Friday; 8 AM - 4:30 PM (will need to work until 6 PM on Mondays or Tuesdays)
