Job Summary

North Anna Power Station in Mineral, VA is seeking a Nuclear Workweek Coordinator.

North Anna has a long history of safe operations and exemplary performance awards in the nuclear industry. As part of Dominion Energy's carbon reduction initiatives, North Anna is investing in Subsequent License Renewal and major station modernization projects to promote continued reliability through the year 2060.

Job Duties Include:

  • Responsible for managing activities related to planning, scheduling and implementation of the on-line weekly scheduling activities for the maintenance and modification of systems and equipment on an assigned nuclear unit for the work weeks assigned or the long-range plan that coordinates the work week schedules.

  • Serves as the project manager for work week activities and has responsibility for implementing the work week schedule.

  • Determines the level of schedule detail based on complexity and significance of the work.

  • Acts as a single point of contact to properly coordinate/align the workweek's activities; ensures optimum availability, compliance with regulatory and company policies, productivity and safe operating performance.

  • Coordinates and manages emergent work into the on-line schedule.

  • Supports the development and implementation of outage schedules as requested by Outage and Planning to ensure on-line schedule integration.

  • Prepares viable work schedules to maximize maintenance effectiveness and ensures department schedules are manpower loaded to optimum levels.

  • Performs NRC-mandated maintenance risk reviews for on-line scheduled work.

  • Conducts pre and post-work week meetings and prepares detailed reports and feedback to management on identified obstacles and risk significant impacts.

  • Develops solutions to scheduling problems and resolves related plant resource, schedule and staffing issues.

  • Coordinates with various departments to ensure effective communication and maximum efficiency in weekly work schedules.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities:

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Bachelor degree and 7+ years of related experience in the operation and maintenance of power plant systems and equipment, with demonstrated experience in the nuclear field.

  • Associate degree and 9+ years of related experience in the operation and maintenance of power plant systems and equipment, with demonstrated experience in the nuclear field.

  • High School Diploma/GED and 11+ years of related experience in the operation and maintenance of power plant systems and equipment, with demonstrated experience in the nuclear field.

In Addition:

  • Proven experience leading teams or major projects required.

  • SRO or SRO Certificate (current or previously held) preferred, but not required.

  • Knowledge of plant specifications, methods and procedures for the performance of mechanical, electrical, I & C and computer systems maintenance functions.

  • Knowledge of company software and systems used for scheduling outages.

  • Effective communication skills, ability to foster cooperation and interrelationships which support the planning and scheduling of work week activities.

  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prepare viable work schedules, perform post plan assessments and identify problem areas and solutions.

  • Ability to resolve employee concerns in a competent, respectful and responsive manner, and foster and create a Safety Conscious Work Environment supportive of positive, honest and open exchange of ideas and differing opinions.

Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will count as one year toward the year of experience. A Master's Degree will count as one year toward the years of experience.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined above are encouraged to apply.
