Medtronic Principal Commercial Analyst in Minato-ku, Japan

Position Title: Principal Commercial Analyst

Reports To: Senior Manager of Enterprise Accounts & Strategy (EA&S) Japan

Position Description:

This position has been created to work within EA&S (Enterprise Accounts and Strategy) to drive EA businesses as the vehicle to establish strategic partnerships with selected corporate / strategic accounts for continuous Medtronic business retention and growth.

This position closely collaborates with functions like finance and business intelligence and supports senior strategic planning manager within EA&S to drive EA businesses and strategic program manager within EA&S to drive his/her projects from analytical perspective.

This position leads…

• Project performance management (internal & external)

• Business review model development (internal & external)

• Best-in-class operating procedure development

• BI report development

• Best practice analysis.

Ultimately this role plays the key role in helping equip strategic program manager and OUs with commercial insights and scale up pan-Medtronic businesses in EAs.

Position Responsibilities:

Supporting senior strategy planning manager to execute EA commercial strategy and senior program manager to execute his/her EA strategies by…

  1. Developing EGP performance management model for both internal and external customers with tools. (e.g., dashboard, report)

  2. Developing EA business review model for both internal and external customers with templates facilitating discussions to drive EA businesses.

  3. Developing efficient and sustainable EA analytical operations through collaboration with internal functions like finance and business intelligence.

  4. Developing EA BI dashboard to automate complex EA analytical operations in collaboration with functions like IT, finance and business intelligence to enable faster decision making.

  5. Leading best practice analysis and summarizing best practices as local proof points to replicate EA successes for Other EAs.

  6. Leading workstreams across various functions and OUs to respond urgent requests with an impact on EA businesses and sales performances.

  7. Implementing continual process improvement and standardization and supporting ad-hoc reporting requests flexibly.

Experience and Knowledge:

Specialized Knowledge and Experience Required

• Advanced MS Office suite skills especially on Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

• Business intelligence and data analytical experiences.

• Project planning and management experiences.

• Change management experiences.

• LSS (Lean Six Sigma) / Process improvement experiences – Highly desirable.

• In-depth understanding of ERP (e.g., SAP) - Highly desirable.

• In-depth understanding of SFA (e.g., Salesforce.com) - Highly desirable.

Qualifications:

• Fluent Japanese communication

• Healthcare / Med-Tech industry experiences, not mandatory but highly regarded

• Real-life consulting experiences, not mandatory but highly regarded

• Bachelor degree

• Master degree, Preferred
