Smith Corporation is seeking an experienced, business-oriented corporate attorney to join our fourteen-attorney Legal Department as Associate General Counsel. Reporting to the General Counsel, this attorney will be involved in a broad range of legal, corporate, compliance and department issues, with a focus on legal and regulatory compliance consulting for the corporation and business units, as well as corporate compliance program and litigation. The Director of Global Compliance, Director of Trade Compliance and Assistant General Counsel - Head of Litigation will report to this role. Responsibilities Serve as the primary contact for SBUs on Legal and Regulatory compliance advise, including distribution, competition, labeling, product certification and compliance, tariff, trade, environmental and DOE, EPA and local regulatory compliance Direct and oversee Global Corporate Compliance Program, focusing on training, audit, policy creation, code of conduct and investigations, including oversight of the China compliance program Oversee all litigation and dispute resolution matters, with the Assistant General Counsel - Litigation reporting to this role.
