Hyatt Cluster HR Manager in MILAN, Italy

Are you ready?

Because we are looking for a Cluster Human Resources Manager that takes care of our beautiful hotels Hyatt Centric Milano Centrale and Hyatt Centric Murano Venice. The purpose of this job is to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Personnel Department in the Human Resources Division. The person will report directly to both General Managers and she/he will supervises two HR colleagues, Milan based, and one HR colleague, Venice based.

What does the ROLE entail?

Being the first point of contact for employees, handling all HR operational questions and requests;

Executing tasks regarding on-, through-, and off-boarding, employee health, and welfare plans;

Keeping PeopleSoft up to date by processing personnel mutations;

Overseeing all mandatory-not mandatory trainings (i.e. Safety and Security Trainings)

Overseeing the completion of compensation and benefit documentation;

Assisting with payroll, following up on employee cases and performance issues, keeping Manning and Forecast up to date, processing personnel changes, and preparing the HR Month End figures;

Responsible for the administration of employee benefits and salaries.

Assisting with staff house in Murano Venice.

Assisting with Annual Salary and Benefits Survey, Business Plans, Manning Guide.

Conducting Employee Restaurant Committee Meetings on a periodic basis.

Counsel employees in career prospects, personal issues, job related issues, grievance, discipline, etc.

Communicate with labor offices and labour-law specialists, and have a thorough understanding of the local labour law.

Responsible for all leave administration.

Helping to maintain efficient staffing levels and payroll systems, helping Division/Department Heads to maximize productivity and minimise unnecessary payroll costs.

To be conversant with productivity ratios (and other key performance indicators) and to produce the monthly turnover report, employee sick leave report, vacation reports.

Assisting in researching competitive compensation/benefits/incentive packages.

Assist in the management of the Department's operational budget so that all costs are controlled and expenditures are properly approved.

Ensuring that all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to financial record keeping, money handling and licensing are adhered to, including the timely and accurate reporting of financial information.

Facilitating HR presentations during the Welcome To Hyatt Training for new-hires;

Attending morning meetings in absence of General Managers.

Qualifications:

Your EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 3 years experience in an HR Managerial role, preferably within Hospitality;

Knowledgeable of professional HR practices in Italy, Italian Labor Law, etc;

Great Microsoft Office skills (some say you Excel at it!);

Experience with payroll (preferably Zucchetti), and understand staffing levels and working hours;

Able to understand contracts, onboard new comers and clarify any HR related queries;

Fluent in English and Italian, both oral as written;

Organized, a fast learner and never miss a deadline;

A people person, loving staff parties and initiatives just as much as your admin work;

Legally allowed to work in Italy, holding an EU/EEA passport or a valid work permit for the country (we do not assist with Visa / permit applications).

Availability to travel and weekly transfers to Murano

Additional Duties

• To maintain strong, professional relationships with relevant representatives from competitor hotels, business partners and other organisations.

• To respond to changes in the Human Resources function as dictated by the industry, company and hotel.

• Reads the hotel's Employee Handbook and has an understanding of and adheres to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to computer resources, fire, hygiene, health and safety.

• To attend training sessions and meetings as and when required.

To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned
