Job Description:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Sr. Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the manufacturing industry and possess proficiency in Dynamics (Microsoft Dynamics, specifically). As a St. Staff Accountant, the individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, supporting the month-end close process, and providing valuable insights to drive financial decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining vendor and customer records in Dynamics.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

  • Reconcile bank statements and investigate any discrepancies.

  • Support the month-end close process by preparing journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.

  • Analyze financial data and trends to identify variances and opportunities for improvement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate recording of manufacturing costs and inventory valuation.

  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights into financial performance and trends.

  • Prepare various ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by management.

  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and guidelines.

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

  • 2+ years of accounting experience in the manufacturing industry.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics (Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations preferred).

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial principles.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
