Logitech Logistics Specialist (LATAM Inbound and Mexico Origin) in Mexico City, Mexico

The Role:

The Logistics Specialist will manage the inbound to 3 LATAM DCs (Mexico, Brazil, Uruguay) and Mexico Origin Logistics. In this role within the ‘Global Inbound Logistics” team, the Logistics Specialist will collaborate cross functionally with other Supply Chain departments in Logitech, externally with Logitech's 3rd parties and 4PL control tower. The Logistics Specialist will drive performance and improvement in processes that impact the regional end-to-end transportation and have a strong background in Logistics, global air, ocean, and small parcel transportation and configuration, as well good language skills of English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

  • Responsible for a variety of multi-modal transportation, transit, planning and design activities for all transportation processes to Logitech LATAM DCs and the international shipments

  • Collaborate cross functionally with other Supply Chain departments in Logitech and with Logitech suppliers to create a world class transportation organization

  • Responsible for all inbound transportation activities, network analysis, performance, accountability for inbound and international outbound shipments within the LATAM region

  • Transportation activities include oversight and analysis of international inbound and outbound transportation policies, programs and projects

  • Responsible for correct and complete data in Logitech OTM (Oracle Transportation Management) system (including monitoring of accurate default system settings), in partnership with LATAM Supply Chain Logistics in Brazil

  • Responsible for correct and up-to-date ITR (In Transit Reports) with all inbound forwarders, in partnership with LATAM Supply Chain Logistics in Brazil and GCC team (Global Control Tower/Center team in Shanghai)

  • Responsible for accurate, efficient and up-to-date ‘container-planning’ between container yards and Logitech LATAM DC’s (including priority management).

  • Key liaison for all escalated inbound and international transportation issues

  • Proactively identify opportunities to introduce new and leverage existing operational procedures to improve productivity

  • Drive continuous improvement into Logitech’s inbound and international transportation network, including carrier accountability and overall delivery efficiencies through ongoing transportation initiatives and scorecarding with GCC team (Global Control Tower/Center team in Shanghai)

  • Accountable for all inbound and international transportation related activities including delivery tracking and EDI compliance

  • Extensive exposure to critical transportation communications on a daily basis

  • Responsible for monitoring supply chain metrics related to the LATAM region

  • Interface with Control Tower team and other internal departments to resolve inbound and international transportation issues within LATAM region

  • Freight audit and invoice control including freight accruals and budget

  • Document, create and update SOP’s

  • Work with corporate partners to identify & implement transportation related initiatives and provide input/documentation for sustaining these programs

  • Work with Trade Compliance team and freight forwarders to complete international shipping documentation (commercial invoice, packing list & other required documents).

  • Development of a network of relationships with carriers, transportation managers, and sector professionals.

  • Work, identify opportunities, develop and implement a CIP and continuous improvement program, duly tangible for IB processes (as an example, however, not limited to: damaged items received, LTs, budget management, documentation and other risks under our responsibility)

Your Skills:

The Logistics Specialist is highly motivated individual with extensive experience in Transportation Management. For consideration, you must bring the following skills and behaviors to our team:

  • 3-5 years plus relevant supply chain experience in a multinational company

  • Experience in execution of daily regional inbound and outbound transportation operations support activities

  • Ability to get performance results through the implementation of scorecards & metrics

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Good language skills of English, Portuguese, and Spanish, both Oral and in writing

  • Problem solver, customer oriented and results driven

  • Knowledge of Oracle & Oracle OTM is a plus

  • Strong PC skills including Word, Excel and Access

  • Ability to troubleshoot, analyze and determine root causes

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Ability to work with all levels of staff

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively

  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-through skills

  • Strong ability to develop effective and productive working relationships with business partners

  • Ability to manage competing priorities without compromising quality
