The Role: Benefits Specialist, Americas

The Team: The Americas Benefits Team is responsible for various benefits initiatives across LATAM, Canada, and the US. The Benefits Team works closely with the People Team to ensure the company’s policies and benefits are best in class.

This role is responsible for our benefits programs within LATAM and will also be involved in various benefit initiatives across the Americas. The Benefits Specialist will work with Insurance companies and brokers for the LATAM region to ensure the company’s policies and benefits are consistent and equitable for all team members.

Responsibilities and Impact:

The Impact: Our Benefits Programs put People First and provides the most value from our vendors and programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with the People Experience team to support the benefits needs of the business.

  • Support benefits programs involving the research and implementation of plans and programs as well as managing competitive benefits offered in the Americas.

  • Conducts or assists in the completion of simple to moderate benefits benchmarking, analysis, and calculations.

  • Participate in vendor implementation related projects and People First initiatives from beginning to end.

  • Provide information and explain changes in benefits to employees.

  • Assist regional benefits team with renewals and possible RFPs.

  • Work with finance to ensure benefit related invoices are paid in a timely manner.

  • Develop policies and other documentation to educate all employees about the company’s benefits programs.

  • Supports senior members of the team in achieving goals and deliverables.

  • Ensures all work practices, processes and procedures comply with policies in place.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in HR, Finance, Business or related discipline required.

  • 3+ years of experience in related field.

  • A self-starter that is detailed oriented and motivated to achieve results.

  • Knowledge of statutory laws and regulations regarding the processing of health and pension benefits in LATAM (specifically Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico.)

  • Ability to analyze, interpret and consolidate data as a practical approach to building robust processes and policy around benefits management.

  • Ability to engage and communicate with employees, understand their needs, and deliver benefits to them.

  • Benefits project management skills. Capable of overseeing benefit related projects across various time zones. Ability to work cross-functionally between Benefits, HR, Payroll, and IT.

  • Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint experience.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday knowledge is a plus.

  • Portuguese is a plus.
