The Marketing Analytics and Business Insights (MABI) team supporting AbbVie’s US Commercial organization is 200+ members strong and growing every day. We comprise highly respected researchers, analysts, and strategists striving to be the gold standard Research & Analytics organization within the biopharmaceutical industry. The Director of Access, Reimbursement and Fulfillment Analytics will lead a team to drive analytics and measurement to support key capabilities in patient access and prior authorization, pharmacy dispensing, and patient affordability solutions offered by US Abbvie patient services across multiple therapeutic areas. The ideal candidate should be able to define strategy, develop and build teams to design and execute analytics plans around these key services offered to patients. The candidate should be able to anticipate the needs of the business and meaningfully communicate insights and information to a broad group of stakeholders through exceptional oral and written communication. This role will report to the leader of Marketing Analytics and Business Insights (MABI) for Patient Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute analytic plans that monitor operational and performance measures for all Patient Access, Patient Hub, In-Field access and reimbursement teams and Co-Pay services.

  • Provide thought leadership to measure effectiveness and optimize the services offered by Abbvie Patient Services including financial impact of our programs.

  • Lead a team of hands-on analytics professionals across Abbvie and vendor partners to execute analytic plans.

  • Accountable for the creation of short and long team measurement of ongoing and new services, including creation and tracking of short and long term performance indicators.

  • Hire, coach, and develop team members to identify and leverage diverse data sources and apply appropriate analytics methodologies to understand the impact of our access, reimbursement, and affordability offerings.

  • Deliver optimization recommendations based on execution and impact of services using qualitative and quantitative data and analytics, in partnership with other functional teams in research, analytics and digital strategy.

  • Maintain a strong pulse on industry market access, patient services, digital and analytic trends.

  • Collaborate effectively and drive alignment in a highly matrixed organization with leadership across Market Research, Analytics, Business Technology Solutions (BTS), Digital Lab and Patient Services functional teams.

  • Contribute to the development of the technology roadmap to capture, manage, and leverage customer data to improve digital product, marketing, and personalization efforts.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, information technology, marketing analytics, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

  • 15+ years of related professional experience

  • 10+ years demonstrated experience in Market access analytics around Health plan, PBM, Pharmacy and Patient support services.

  • 6+ years managing teams.

  • Strong understanding and prior experience with the development and implementation of analytic approaches in the following areas: Bridge and Co-Pay programs, HUB processes, Prior Authorizations, In-Field Access Specialists, Buy & Bill, Retail and specialty pharmacy workflows.

  • Knowledge and understanding of pharma ecosystem and datasets including physician-level prescribing, institutional sales data, payer-prescriber-level data, formulary data, Rebates, Symphony claims, Copay claims.

  • Ability to define and execute both descriptive and predictive analytics to support measurement of patient service offerings for Hub, Pharmacy fulfillment and Co-Pay.

  • Working knowledge of Market Access concepts and healthcare ecosystem interactions across Health Plan, PBM, Pharmacy (Specialty and Retail), Employers and Manufacturers.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
