Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Technician (Associate, Experienced or Senior) -Phantom Works to join the Operations & Quality group located in Mesa, AZ .

Position Responsibilities:

  • Advises on advanced technology in non-destructive instrumentation and inspection principles, processes and techniques

  • Guides implementation of advanced inspection or test techniques

  • Develops innovative test processes and equipment

  • Consults suppliers and customers to resolve technical issues involving tests, processes and equipment

  • Develops principles and methods for analyzing test, inspection or statistical data

  • Consults on corrective action to resolve process or product anomalies

  • Participates on enterprise and industry teams to influence the standardization and regulation of training and certification requirements

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience inspecting parts, components, assemblies, or units.

  • Experience writing NDT procedures and techniques.

  • Experience interpreting technical engineering requirements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 3: 3+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Level 4: 5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Formal training hours for Level I certification per NAS410 for radiographic testing

  • Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Level 2 Certification per NAS410 in Ultrasonic Testing

  • Current American Society for Nondestructive Testing/Nondestructive Testing (ASNT)/NDT) Certification in Ultrasonics

  • Active Security Clearance

  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement methodologies

Typical Education & Experience:

Level 2:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).

Level 3:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

Level 4:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years' related work experience, 8 years' related work experience, etc.)

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Shift:

This position is for 3rd shift. Training schedule will be 1st shift and then transition to 3rd shift once complete.

Summary pay range for associate level: USD 49,300 - 66,700

Summary pay range for experienced level: USD 58,850 - 93,150

Summary pay range for senior level: USD 68,850 - 93,150
