Robert Half Credit Union Accounting Manager in Menlo Park, California

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure financial records comply with GAAP, laws, and regulations.

  • Maintain internal controls and recommend improvements.

  • Oversee Accounting staff, operations, and key functions like Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Investment Accounting.

  • Manage ledger reconciliations and ensure timely completion.

  • Guide team on accounting standards and tax/audit preparations.

  • Oversee cash management, bank accounts, and daily settlements.

  • Handle month-end close, financial statements, and vendor relationships.

  • Provide data for audits and regulatory reports.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

  • 3+ years of financial accounting experience.

  • 1+ year of leadership/management experience.

  • Banking or credit union experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and General Ledger oversight.

  • Proficient in cash management, investment accounting, and financial statement production.
