Mechanic Job Description
Qualifications :
Some high school or equivalent and/or vocational and/or prior job experience in mechanical welding and hydraulics
Welding, mechanical knowledge; ability to read tape measure and blueprints.
Ability to lift 20-50lbs., Push 50-100lbs and Carry 25-50lbs
Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and diagrams
Requirements:
Reports to Shop Supervisor.
Must have ability to completely mount ,assemble and performance check all products as directed by the Shop Supervisor.
Must have the ability to weld and flame –cut , as required.
Must have ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and written instructions.
Will be responsible for the quality of the installation and repairs of the work he performs.
Must have the ability to repair and service products as directed by the Shop Supervisor.
May be required to perform road service and repairs.
May be required to assist or operate dielectric test equipment.
Must be able to properly use diagnostic equipment as required.
Must be able to properly test equipment as required.
Will furnish own hand tools as directed by the Company.
To provide quality and timely workmanship on each work order performed
Uses impact wrenches to drill, bolt various components onto mobile hydraulic equipment
Uses small and large manual hand tools to bolt assemble various components onto mobile equipment
· Maintains daily time records on each job assigned
· Performs re-work as required
· Follows all established safety policies and practices.
