The Opportunity:

KBR is seeking a Senior Inventory Controller to join our Land team at Victoria Barracks Melbourne, providing management and Inventory support to a Land Program. Responsibilities include: providing codification and cataloguing support, conduct of IMCAD, issue of equipment to the unit/s to enable the introduction into service to be completed. Also provide assistance to the ILSM for the completion of ILS documentation .

Responsibilities:

  • Codification and Cataloguing of all components of the various systems being purchased by the project.

  • Completion of External Purchase Orders (EPO) in MILIS to bring equipment to charge.

  • Issue of equipment to the relevant units in MILIS.

  • Provision of assistance to the ILSM for the completion of ILS documentation and data items.

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (PMs, Engineers, client groups, functional departments) to ensure introduction into service activities are appropriately managed.

  • Conduct other project support activities when required by the Project Director, PM’s or ILSM.

  • Apply Through Life Support and Sustainment Management expertise in a major Defence capability.

  • Assist with undertaking Logistic Support and Inventory Management to support the capability.

  • Comply with a safe working environment.

  • Display commitment to understanding the expectations of internal and external clients.

  • Use computers, software packages and office equipment efficiently and effectively to meet routine needs.

  • Maintain and record personal timesheets.

  • Enjoy the confidence of internal clients and other contacts.

  • Participate in the annual performance reporting process.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years in a similar role

  • Previous Defence/Defence industry experience

  • Demonstrated experience with MILIS

  • Proven experience in Codification and Cataloguing

  • Clear and effective communication skills (written and verbal)

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance
