Shift: Fulltime rotating 12-hour night shift (6pm-6:30am). Work three days one week, four days the next week. Off every other weekend. Description: Maintenance Technicians play an important role at Diary Farmers of America in ensuring that all equipment is operating effectively and efficiently. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and/or repairs to production and processing equipment. Perform preventative maintenance of production and processing equipment as well as utility related equipment, following all safety procedures. Support the installation of new equipment. Set up and adjust controllers (primarily Allen-Bradley). Assist machine operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime. Ensure all repairs are documented. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Follow all DFA GMP's. Clean work areas upon completing a project and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements. Education and experience: High school diploma/GED or Technical School. Minimum of 3 years skilled industrial maintenance experience. Strong electrical background. Prior experience in a food or bottling manufacturing environment a plus.

Knowledge, skills and abilities: Basic math skills Familiar with and have working knowledge of equipment Ability to interpret simple to complex blueprints and schematics. Proficient in preventative maintenance, over-hauls, modification and fabrication. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Must possess training / experience in at least two or more of the following areas: o PLC's and PLC programming o Single and three phase industrial electricity and control systems o AC/DC drive Systems o Pneumatics / hydraulics systems o Welding practices and techniques o Machining /fabricating practices and techniques o Industrial boiler operations o Water Treatment Systems o HVAC Systems Must be able to read, write and speak English
