We are seeking a Recruiting Manager to join the JAG Management team in McLean, VA. This is an in-office position Monday - Thursday with the option of remote work on Fridays. The Recruiting Manager will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies, with the goal of attracting a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent to the organization. This includes the following onsite roles: Assistant Community Manager, Community Manager, Leasing Professional, Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Technician. The Recruiting Manager will assume an adaptable approach for a broad range of hiring experience among hiring managers while ensuring operational standards and policy compliance goals are met. Some light travel may be necessary. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Recruits and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open onsite property positions; collaborates with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process including documentation in the Applicant Tracking System. Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization. Screens applications, selecting qualified candidates. Schedules interviews. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies. Performs other related duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong communication skills, ethics, and cultural awareness. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to create and implement effective sourcing strategies for recruitment of a variety of onsite roles. Proactive and independent, with ability to take initiative. Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines. Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment. Proficient with, or able to quickly learn, applicant-tracking software or other recruitment system. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work as a team member and uphold organizational standards and values. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field. A minimum of three years of recruiting, including managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process in the multifamily residential property management industry in major Eastern U.S. markets. Recruiting experience in a similar capacity from other real estate industries like commercial may be considered. Knowledge of MS Office, Applicant Tracking Systems, and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed.
