Department Summary:

P750 Business Operations is the back-bone support for all of Center for Securing the Homeland (CSH) Business related functions. Our Team works closely with varying levels of staff that execute work for various Government Agencies Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of State (DOS), and National Cybersecurity FFRDC (NCF) sponsored by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), work.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work independently on tasks and responsibilities

  • Lead tasks/initiatives to completion

  • Monitor IDIQ contract deliverable schedule and meet contractual deadlines and compliance

  • Support Proposal Management/Project Lifecycle (Technical Execution Plan (TEP) to award through closeout), Provide overall coordination to ensure timely submittal

  • Manage property for the Center

  • Lead internal property audits

  • Manage DHS requested property audits

  • Address DHS Property Disposition

  • Develop property quarterly and annual deliverables

  • Support ad hoc data calls and analyses and divisional or departmental activities, as required

  • Support sponsor ad hoc data calls, deliverables tasks and analyses as required.

  • Work with MITRE’s billing team and accounts payable regarding invoice compliance and or issues

  • Manage the sponsor Fitness / Suitability / Clearance process

  • Be a point of contact for Center reports, questions, and issues

  • Monitor weekly timecard entries to identify erroneous charging

  • Manage timecard corrections for erroneous charges

  • Proficient in SharePoint development, responsibilities include:

  • Maintain/enhance our Center’s website

  • Update CSH Operations SharePoint site and Shared library

  • Maintain/enhance our deliverables SharePoint site (Enclave)

  • Confirm and upload deliverables for tasks

  • Update site as contract modifications are issues and changes occur to deliverable schedule

  • Build/maintain new SharePoint sites as needed

  • Facilitate the completion of project monthly status reports

  • Monitor project leader submissions and send reminders to ensure deadlines are met

  • Create deliverables timeline charts

  • Maintain list of intellectual Property (IP) created/used on HSSEDI Projects

  • Review finance graph charts and identify issues

  • Advise on business processes and support ad hoc requests

  • Participate in Corporate working groups (e.g., pipeline management, staffing, etc.) as a representative for our Center

  • Participate in Business Transformation and Clarity Program Project Management and provide guidance to staff as new tools and processes roll out

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 3 years of relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step

  • Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants

  • Ability to partner with cross-functional teams

  • Ability to manage multiple activities at one time and problem solve in a fast-paced and changing environment

  • Ability to independently work and initiate and manage change

  • Ability to prioritize and mange workload to support deadlines

  • Understand the basics of MITRE business management and different aspects of project planning and execution

  • A keen eye for detail

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in financial, contract, or project management field/s

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft suite of tools; Beginner to intermediate Excel experience

  • Proficient in SharePoint online

  • Dependable, flexible, and professional demeanor 

  • Flexibility to work additional hours to meet Project deadlines, as needed

  • DoD Secret Clearance / DHS Fitness
