Aerotek 1st Shift Maintenance Technician in McKinney, Texas

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves maintaining and repairing equipment and machinery within our facility, including FANUC and ABB weld robots, Messer plasma tables, and hydraulic press brakes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the assembly work cells.

  • Maintain all facility grounds, machinery, and equipment.

  • Maintain and repair all building-related machinery and equipment.

  • Install electrical systems and equipment in accordance with city codes and industrial standards.

  • Run secondary power distribution lines and circuits to supply various voltages, amperages, and phases to distribution panels, power and control circuits, building lighting, HVAC, weld robots, and manufacturing equipment.

  • Diagnose and correct malfunctioning equipment.

  • Coordinate outside maintenance vendor activities.

  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs using QAD EAM system.

  • Train operators to perform basic periodic maintenance where applicable.

  • Identify areas for improvement to reduce downtime and enhance efficiency.

  • Maintain tool crib stock levels and keep tool and maintenance cribs neat and orderly.

  • Participate as a member of the Safety Committee.

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance checks.

  • Maintain a spare parts list.

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues.

  • Collaborate with product engineers on new and existing fabricated products.

  • Work with PLCs for troubleshooting (Allen Bradley).

  • Maintain regular attendance.

Essential Skills

  • At least 4 years of experience as a maintenance technician.

  • Minimum of 2 years of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in a manufacturing setting involving welding, fabricating, and assembly.

  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing metal burning and forming equipment.

  • Proficiency with circuitry, electronics, PLCs (AB 5000), motors, sensors, and VFD sensors.

  • Ability to install electrical outlets and perform maintenance on robots, hoists, and pumps.

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00
