Description

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Coordinator for a fully remote, short-term contract with a growing non-profit organization. This position will be responsible for managing accounts payable operations effectively. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of exposure to Accounts Payable and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. In this position your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

-Review and verify invoices and check requests

-Sort, code, and match invoices to purchase orders

-Set invoices up for payment and enter them into the system

-Track expenses and process expense reports

-Prepare and perform check runs

-Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records

-Reconcile accounts payable transactions and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date

-Produce monthly reports and assist with month-end closing

-Maintain vendor files and correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries

-Provide supporting documentation for audits

Requirements

-Minimum of 1 year experience in an Accounts Payable role

-Knowledge of accounts payable, general accounting procedures, and relevant accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics)

-Proficient in data entry and management

-Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information

-Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively

-Excellent communication and organizational skills

-Attention to detail and problem-solving ability

-Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
