Eaton Corporation Security Project Engineer in Mascot, Australia

We are looking to hire a Security Project Engineer on a 12-month fixed term contract to support our Integrated Security Solutions team in the maintenance and support of our security clients. The ideal candidate will provide a high level of support and assist in the retention and gaining of new customers and businesses.

This would be a great opportunity for a security service technician looking to get into a project role.

Key Duties:

  • Manage project planning, budgeting, execution and completion of the installation, commissioning, programming, administration, & maintenance service of security systems (Access control and CCTV Cameras), access control, alarm system, and other Eaton PQ software systems.

  • Prepare and provide the handover and plan to ensure the maintenance plan and coverage is in-placed after project is completed

  • Establish testing plans (ITP/ITS) and oversee product testing/FATs pre-sales, project and post sales

  • Ensure project documentation is created, updated, submitted, and stored/maintained in secured manner throughout the project life cycle. Example but not limited to asset register, floor layout drawings and schematic diagrams.

  • Instigate a high-level call avoidance process to analysis all faults / service requests to determine the appropriate resources required to resolve the fault.

  • Provide training for customer staff and sub-contractors where required.

  • Be part of the team and willing to perform any other job-related duties that may be requested from time to time required for the Integrated Software and Security Team.

Qualifications:

  • Security license (2BC) or willingness to obtain one

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Computing and SAP/Oracle

  • Experience with Access Control systems and CCTV Camera systems

  • Protocols – IP, RS485, Modbus, SNMP, LDAP

  • Software skills an advantage – e.g., Microsoft certification MSCE or Networking

  • Knowledge of CCURE9000 and American Dynamics is ideal but not essential.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
