Job Title: Design Engineer

Job Description

The position is responsible for designing production equipment from a design concept to a completed design that meets the design requirements and the project schedules. The production equipment is used to manufacture products.

• Mechanical Designer of automated production equipment responsible for designing tooling and machines to be used in production facilities. Achieve project milestones and maintain the project schedule for all responsible work. (55%)

• Work as part of an Engineering Team to support the creation of equipment design requirements and development of concepts. (20%)

• Perform Quality Check of drawings. (10%)

• Support overall unit initiatives and business plan goals. (5%)

• Prepare design review documentation, schedule design review, and present to technical evaluators. Demonstrate the design meets the design and project requirements. (5%)

• Provide on-site manufacturing support for installation, system up, and maturation of the production equipment for completed designs. (5%)

Hard Skills

• Machine Design

• Experience with 3D CAE systems and software including FEA (finite element analysis)

• Background in automated equipment development/design

• Knowledge of automated production lines and machines

• Technical communication skills (both written and oral)

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Marysville, Ohio.

Work Environment

They work in an office environment and will occasionally go to the shop floor. They will need to be comfortable traveling to the plants in North America.
