TEMPORARY full-time farm work from 3/25/2024 until 10/26/24. 7 openings in Martinsburg, WV. Farm Leader - Assigns duties such as cultivation, irrigation, or harvesting of the crops to field workers. Trains workers on techniques such as planting, harvesting, and weeding. Operates farm machinery for cultivation, harvesting, or storing crops. Communicates with Farm Manager regarding daily harvesting. Transports workers from field to field. Uses probe timekeeping system to ensure employees punch in and out. Documents crop data on ifoods software using ipad. Enforces safety measures on-site. Shutter Driver: Operate passenger vans to transport up to 10 workers to/from housing to/from worksite and weekly grocery, laundry, and banking needs. Inspect vehicle and safety equipment on bus before driving. Pick up workers at living quarters, and transport workers to work site. Assistant supervise workers, report any accidents/injuries. Keep vehicles clean, transfer workers from one worksite to another when necessary. Provide documents/licenses to federal agencies when requested. Transport workers back to housing at the end of the workday. Driver MUST posses a valid driver's license issued by the United States or foreign equivalent license. Must follow specific routes according to times and schedules indicated by field supervisors/managers. Must comply with DOT safety guidelines and traffic regulation for vehicle operation. 36 hrs/wk, MonSat., weather permitting, work 6 days w/half hour lunch) Piece work pay rate; guaranteed $18.17/hour for Berkeley Co., WV. Work may also be in Maryland or Pennsylvania and may be paid piece rate with a guarantee of $15.54/hour while working in MD or PA. Must have appropriate documents to complete I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification form for employer. Background ck & drug test will be done. Must understand all terms and conditions of employment, be available to work total period of employment as noted and available to work in any one of the listed job activities at the employer's discretion. Local applicants must have transportation to job sites. No housing provided for workers within normal commuting distance.
