Aerotek Looking For CNC Or Manual Machinists in Marion, Ohio

Local company in the northern central Ohio area is seeking motivated, hard working, experienced OR trainable Machinists to join their 2nd shift team. The local company is about one year into their new location and growing their team and customer base rapidly. Description:

This position is with primary responsibility for operating a CNC, VTL, and/or Mazak units. This individual will be fully knowledgeable about all aspects of the full operation of the equipment. On a day-to-day basis, the CNC Operator/Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating machine tools to produce precision parts, producing small batches or large quantities of parts and ensuring products meet precise specifications. Willingness and aptitude to be cross-trained to operate multiple machines is an asset in this position.

Shift: 2nd available

Overtime: amount of OT hours vary, Saturdays mandatory (at times)

Pay: $24-34/hour

Job Overview:

• Create and edit specialized programs with G&M codes based upon information provided on prints.

• Complete set-ups for jobs using knowledge of different tool fixtures and changeovers.

• Read prints to determine correct placement of parts in tool fixtures.

• Perform part inspections and document the results on inspection sheets using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers or height gauges.

• Make adjustments to the programming or tool offsets as needed to maintain part tolerances.

• Ensure safe operation by adhering to safety procedures and regulations at all times.

• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.

• May run more than one unit simultaneously.

• Provides constant feedback and input into process improvement within the department.

• Helps in training new employees and proof out new programs.

• Other duties as required to support the business.
