Homewatch CareGivers is Hiring for Care Givers - working with individuals with disabilities!

  • Provides clients with help moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs or automobiles, and with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, light housekeeping, errands, laundry and/or ambulation.
  • Entertains, converses with, or reads aloud to clients to keep them mentally healthy and alert .
  • Maintains records of client care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with one's supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding client information .
  • Prepares and serves meals to clients, according to prescribed diets .
  • Provides a clean and safe environment for clients. Specifically, changes bed linens, washes and client's laundry, and performs light housekeeping in client's home.
  • • Provides errand services, transportation services, and companionship. Specifically, visiting and talking with the client, reading, listening to music, and taking them on walks. • Reminds client to take self-administered medications. • Observes and reports any changes in the client's mental, physical, or emotional condition or home situation to immediate supervisor in a timely manner. • Coordinates client care with other members of health care team. • Comforts client in an emergency situation and stays with the client until EMS personnel arrive. Caregivers are not permitted to administer medical assistance of any kind. • Provides any additional activities as may be requested from time to time, to help ensure that the client's household runs smoothly within reason. It is mutually understood and agreed that if at any time the caregiver is asked by a client or a client's agent to perform an activity that employee questions or is uncomfortable with, or that is not part of the client's current Care Plan, or that employee is not willing and/or able to provide, employee is to immediately contact his/her immediate manager or supervisor before engaging in the activity and/or accepting/declining the client's or agent's request. • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience -High school diploma or general education degree (GEO); one or more years caregiver experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Language Skills -Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and/or board of directors. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. • Other Qualifications -Valid driver's license is required; Must be able to travel 25-50% of the time COMPETENCIES • Attention to Detail -Pays close attention to detail.
