The Quality Engineer will be responsible for leading and implementing advanced Quality Engineering initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This will include analyzing program and or process performance (data analytics/trends) to identify risks and support process improvements. In addition to performing Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and product build surveillance activities.

The position is intended to be a catalyst for Program initiatives to reduce Scrap, Rework, and Repair (SRR) cost, improve Quality Inspection systems, reduce internal and external escapes, and ensure Production/Quality process compliance.

This position supports the F-35 Center Wing program.

Must be a US Citizen. This position supports a facility that requires special access.

A level 4 employee Typically has 9 - 15 years of professional experience.

This position is in Marietta, GA  Discover Marietta.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

- Experience using basic Quality Engineering tools including:

- Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (FMEA)

- Cause Maps

- Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)

Desired Skills:

- Experience developing analytics using Tableau

- Black Belt Certification

- GD&T experience

- Experience working in a manufacturing environment

- Experience with developing inspection criteria and familiarization with inspection tools and methods

- Statistical Process Control

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
