Description

Cut grass, trees, and collect and haul obstructions such as: (tree limbs, leave trash, general rubbish) to dump. Clean around the cottages, and all ther buildings, clean ditches, fence rows; maintain right-of-ways and control weeds. Operate tractors, lawn mowers, weed-eaters, dump trucks, and all other related equipment as needed to maintain Sunland's grounds on a daily and on-going basis.

Move furniture and equipment, load; unload trucks with furniture, and building materials such as couches, chairs, boxes, lumber, and general supplies, etc. Assist other trades and staff with labor to complete task such as digging ditches, lay pipe, and pull wire and load material. Any labor task to keep Sunland running on a daily and on-going basis.

Emptying garbage and keeping the floors and bathrooms clean in the maintenance offices as needed.

Perform other related duties as required.

Complete all assigned staff training deemed mandatory.

Minimum Requirements

  • Preferred: experience in groundskeeping and/or landscaping

Experience, education, and/or training used to meet the minimum qualifications and in response to the qualifying questions must be verifiable through information contained in your application.

This position may be required to perform essential services before, during, and after an emergency per APD OP 2-0035.

This position is critical to the safety and supervision of residents and may require the incumbent to work beyond their normal work schedule to maintain minimum coverage levels in the facility.
