Description

This is a position established as an Accountant II under the Operations & Management Consultant Manager-SES. Its primary purpose is to collect data during the course of the year for preparation of the Annual Medicaid Cost Report. This position complies with and monitors compliance (when applicable) of the mandatory requirements in Section 215.422, F.S. and Chapter 3A-20 of the Florida Administrative Code. It is housed on the Administration Building.

Maintain a set of filed for data collected during the course of the fiscal year for use in preparation of the Medicaid Cost Report. Reviews and works with all departments involved in the preparation of quarterly time studies used for the Annual Medicaid Cost Report

Review schedule of allotments during the fiscal year to identify coding errors and enter corrections in FLAIR when identified.

Determine expenditures charged to a single organization code that should be allocated to multiple organization codes and redistribute costs prior to June 30th.

Print required reports from RDS or RP Function prior to July 31st of each year for use in the Medicaid Cost Report.

Complete Medicaid Cost Report for the prior fiscal year, review with Administrative Services Director, obtain approval signatures and submit to AHCA by September 30th.

Prepares monthly reports on all Operational Expenditures for various purposes such as: Departmental Spending Plan preparation, Internal analysis of spending patterns center wide and maintaining expenditure balances by fund during the fiscal year. Prepares monthly billing of charges for reimbursement of various expenditures due to the facility. Runs bi-weekly and monthly reports.

Assist in the examination and review of FLAIR, IDS, payroll printouts and fiscal data; assist with audits on petty cash accounts and annual inventory of Suntown Mall; assists the Administrative Services Director II in the performance of any special projects or assignments.

Performs exception handler role in MFMP for MRDP invoice reconciliations.

Counts cash received daily and reconciles to receipts.

Track OCO expenditures and utility cost for submission to the ASD and Central Office as needed.

Participates in meetings and conference calls as required.

Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma

  • Preferred but not required; At least three years of experience in Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR)

  • Preferred but not required; At least three years of experience in MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP)

  • Preferred but not required; Experience in Excel and creating spreadsheets

    Experience, education, and/or training used to meet the minimum qualifications and in response to the qualifying questions must be verifiable through information contained in your application.

    This position may be required to perform essential services before, during, and after an emergency per APD OP 2-0035.

    This position is critical to the safety and supervision of residents and may require the incumbent to work beyond their normal work schedule to maintain minimum coverage levels in the facility.
