Boston Scientific Supply Chain Planner I - SCALE Rotational Program in Maple Grove, Minnesota

The Supply Chain Planner I - SCALE Rotational Program is an entry-level opportunity that will begin in June 2024. About the role: The Supply Chain Accelerated Leadership Development rotational program consists of three, eight-month rotations within Supply Chain (Supply Planner, Demand Planner, and People Leader roles). They will be a team-player within a diverse and inclusive workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives. Responsible for all demand planning activities needed to meet customer needs and market requirements as measured by key performance indicators for service level, backorder, and inventory targets. In addition, they will plan, monitor, and maintain finished goods inventory levels and related ERP system data integrity. Theywill possess the skills and aptitude required to plan multiple product lines and provide cross-functional supply chain support to key stakeholders in Marketing, Country Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Distribution. Theywill demonstrate a high level of analytical and execution skills.They will build & maintain a network of relationships to facilitate completion of tasks & meeting of objectives. They will provide people leadership and supervision, coordinating a group of material handling team members toward establishing safety, quality, service, and cost goals. Your responsibilities will include: Demand Planning Review statistically generated forecasts with Marketing and Global Supply Chain team and contributeto consensus forecast creation Review Multi-Echelon Inventory Safety stock targets and approve changes, noting input elements resulting in change Work with Global Marketing, Country Demand Planning, and Country Operations groups to identify all known demand sources (customer orders, scheduling agreements, distributor shipment, consignment, etc.) Maintain forecasts by meeting monthly with Product Managers reviewing past performance and future forecast (Marketing Handshake) New Product Launch Management Primary or backup Core Team Member for Supply Chain on New Product Development Team Develop launch plans, including forecasts, inventory targets, cannibalization plans, and introduction schedules with support from supply chain team members Execute launch workbooks and prepare distribution chain for product launch Inventory Management Contribute to the development of inventory plans Establish inventory targets (MEIO) Monitor inventory performance to plan and targets Management of expired, excess, and obsolescence reserves Allocate inventory to regions in short supply situations Supply Chain Execution Support daily/weekly/monthly planning processes utilizing Rapid Response (Advanced Planning System) Manage global demand signal for manufacturing (net requirements) Monitor manufacturing execution (Schedule Adherence) Provide inventory analysis Proactively manage service level exceptions and backorders Contribute to monthly Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SI&OP) Process Review demand & supply balance; provide input if balance is not adequate Achieve Performance Metrics Service Level & Backorder Forecast Accuracy Schedule Adherence People Leadership Coordinate material handling team members toward establishing safety, quality, service, and cost goals What we're looking for: Required qualifications: Four-year degree or higher in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience) rior experience (or similar through internships/co-ops) in a manufacturing planning, inventory control function, demand forecasting function, or similar Extremely strong PC skills utilizing such software programs as Excel and relational databases Communication skills with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization Self-motivated independent worker Detail oriented and organized, performs to a high degree of accuracy in all tasks Highly adaptable, flexible, and willing to accept new ideas, processes, and procedures Strong analytical and problem solving skills Working knowledge of DRP, MRP, and MPS Preferred qualifications: Experience utilizing SAP or other ERP systems Experience utilizing Rapid Response or other Advance Planning systems JIT experience in a manufacturing environment Continuous improvement experience including Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing Requisition ID:578473 Among other requirements, Boston Scientific maintains specific prohibited substancetesting requirements for safety-sensitive positions.
