Lockheed Martin Network Engineer Sr in Manassas, Virginia

Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a Network Operations Technician based in Manassas VA to serve as a member of the Data, Voice & Video (DV2) East Mid-Atlantic Region.

As an operations team member in the regional DV2 organization, this position successfully applies technology to meet service commitments for our primary clients; Lockheed Martin (LM) Business Areas (BA) and the Enterprise Information Technology organization.

Specifically, the candidate will support Lockheed Martin corporate-wide network infrastructure as well as serve as a Network Operations Technician providing operational, sustainment, implementation and remediation activities to meet customer regulations and compliance directives.

This position is responsible for supporting multiple LAN infrastructures including program specific networks, VOIP, Extranets, DNS/DHCP configurations and all associated network appliances (routers, switches, wireless access points, wireless controllers, firewalls, etc.).

This position will also require basic analysis, network infrastructure support, troubleshooting network issues reported by clients and discovered using monitoring tools, attend network operation meetings, collaborate with external customers, stakeholders and Leadership providing project status and operational updates and interact with multiple IT teams. Candidate will be in direct contact with BA customers and its executive personnel.

Basic Qualifications:

· Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance

· Experience in supporting and troubleshooting LAN/WAN/Wireless infrastructures

· Experience in hands-on experience with switching and routing with knowledge of topics such as TCP/IP, VLANs, IPv4/IPv6 configuration, peer-to-peer networking, IP addressing & subnets, building a routing table, and other network protocols and standards

· Cisco Systems IOS and CLI experience

· Candidate must be able to troubleshoot network anomalies and failures

· Strong documentation and technical writing skills to maintain system(s) configurations and network diagrams

· Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills illustrated through related work experience

· Position will be required to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, nights, and week-ends and support an on call rotation

· Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and CompTIA Security+ certification or able to obtain within six (6) months of hire date

· Ability to undertake minimal overnight travel as required

· Ability to lift 35 lbs.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
