DUTIES: Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. seeks an IT Service Designer/Developer in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Work with internal customers to formulate the requirements for their analytical problems (focus on Power BI development) and provide them with implementation support as part of projects or change requests. Provide guidance, consulting, and training to internal customers in their self-service analytics journey. Coordinate the implementation, ensuring compliance with process- related, functional and technical specifications and fulfillment of all quality-related requirements, such as documentation, in IT-developed Power BI solutions. Assist the Power BI service owner in managing and administrating the global Power BI platform. Improve existing and develop new services within the CoE's area of responsibility. Liaise with vendors to solve challenges and improve our platform and services. 100% remote work permitted.
REQUIREMENTS: The position requires a Master's in Computer Science, Medical Information Technology, Mathematics, Business Information Technology or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, as a Service Developer/Designer, Software Developer, Engineer or an acceptable alternate occupation. Employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Medical Information Technology, Mathematics, Business Information Technology or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered, as a Service Developer/Designer, Software Developer, Engineer or an acceptable alternate occupation. The position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: Power BI development and the whole project lifecycle; Power BI platform management (PowerShell scripting, Power BI Service administration, Azure Active Directory, Data Gateways). Position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: Power BI service management, including handling and solving technical issues; establishing Citizen Developer communities, creating and leading training sessions, and driving user engagement activities; working in IT in cross-functional teams. Position requires one (1) year of experience with the following: working in advanced analytics areas (Python or R programming); business intelligence tools (e.g., Qlik Sense or Celonis). Position requires experience applied in at least 5 projects with the following: executing data extractions, transformations, and data modelling activities to create data sets containing at least 10 tables; advanced Power BI functionalities (e.g., complex DAX and M queries); requirements engineering and quality documentation.
