JOIN THE TEAM

As a Business Data Analyst, you can expect a dynamic and challenging role that revolves around transforming data into actionable insights to drive business decisions. They take time to understand and document requirements, leveraging their advanced knowledge of Data Analysis, Data Modeling, internal data availability and SDLC, recommend immediate solutions or next steps.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, gather and document the requirements of active or interested users or teams across the organization.

  • Analyze user/team requirements vis-a-vis knowledge of technology landscape, including those already available in-house and on the public market; work with Team members to solve use-cases with existing tools.

  • Evaluate feasibility (e.g. technical constraints, data availability, resource requirements, etc) and potential impact of in-house tool developments; work with broader Team to translate high-level requirements into technical specifications and project plans.

  • Communicate technical concepts and project progress to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely; act as a continuous bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest technological advancements and applications inside and outside of BASF; brainstorm and conduct self-experiments to discover solutions for known use-cases.

  • Provide insights and feedback to Team members to guide organizational roadmaps for new tool creation, ensuring alignment with market trends and best practices.

  • Collaborate with the Team members to develop clear, comprehensive reports and presentations for key stakeholders

  • Take smart risks and champion new ideas

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in a consulting role with exposure to user needs analysis/documentation, software development and/or market research.

  • Hand on experience with Data Driven projects, strong understanding of various data domains, data analysis and modeling.

  • Demonstrated familiarity with concepts, tools, and applications, particularly in the field of Data analysis and modeling.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex issues and propose practical solutions.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with.

  • With cross-functional teams and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.

  • Experience working with external vendors or partners.

  • Ability to learn quickly and stay updated with emerging trends in tools and technologies.
