Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be a versatile professional responsible for mechanical and electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on all plant equipment. This includes fab equipment such as lasers and presses, robots, automated conveyor lines, thermoforming machines, and foam forming machines. You will also handle minor welding and fabrication tasks. Electrical work involves up to 480v and PLC troubleshooting, primarily Allen-Bradley with some Siemens.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on all plant equipment.

  • Work on fab equipment: lasers and presses, robots, automated conveyor lines, thermoforming machines, and foam forming machines.

  • Conduct minor welding and fabrication.

  • Handle electrical work up to 480v, including PLC troubleshooting (mostly Allen-Bradley with some Siemens).

  • Participate in special projects as needed.

  • Ensure the facility and machinery are well-kept.

Essential Skills

  • 5 years of experience as an industrial maintenance technician.

  • Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Strong repair, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work with electrical systems up to 480v and perform PLC troubleshooting.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 2-year technical degree.

Work Environment

Our facility operates three shifts: 1st shift (Monday to Friday, 5:30 am-1:30 pm), 2nd shift (Monday to Friday, 1:30 pm-9:30 pm), and 3rd shift (Sunday to Friday, 9:30 pm-5:30 am). You have the flexibility to work 40 hours a week or up to 60 hours based on workload, with minimal project-based work during the week. Our 600,000 sq. foot facility is one of the cleanest and well-kept manufacturing facilities in Southern Wisconsin. We prioritize maintaining a clean, automated, and climate-controlled environment, ensuring the facility is always at 72 degrees. We aim to have 9 technicians on the 2nd shift and 9 on the 3rd shift.
