Position and Responsibilities Overview Ensure that the MEP services provided by the Field Services Department meet contract and customer requirements. Directly liaise with Service Project Superintendent and Project Coordinator to provide for quality and profitable outcomes from Field Services Activities. Assist Service Project Superintendent and Project Coordinator in reviewing and reporting on project profitability. Perform equipment start up and complete associated documentation. Perform quality control inspections on Service Project work. Technical trouble shooting and diagnostics when needed. Installation or replacement of equipment and systems as required. Support Service Project technicians with scheduled weekend or night work as required by customer. Carryout owner training and assist in the training of technicians as required. Plan and oversee service field-based activities, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the customer's satisfaction. Perform unsupervised work coordination activities. Activities include, but not limited to: coordination of project personnel, procurement of equipment and material, coordination of subcontractors, coordination with owner, customer, and/or general contractor. Assist in pricing and establishing scope of work with Account Managers or Inside Sales when required. Complete all work documentation as required by RK Service procedures. Assist Service Project Superintendent in reviewing individual project technicians. Guide field staff in properly completing specialized forms required, and assist in providing paperwork to the necessary departments. Make decisions in a timely manner that is in the best interest of the company. Call for inspection when asked or job requires, meet with inspectors, and make sure job passes all required inspections. Develop lead referrals resulting from project activities for the Sales Department or Inside Sales. Guide field staff in the execution of any or all of the tasks listed above. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Indirect supervision. Requires the use of advanced techniques and knowledge within his/her function. Applies diversified knowledge of applicable principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments. Makes decisions independently regarding complexities and methods. Supervision and guidance related largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts and policy matters. Liaison to groups within and outside of his/her organization with responsibility to act independently regarding matters pertaining to his/her function. College/University graduate with 7 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of skills and experience generally expected for specified technical roles. Minimum Physical Requirements Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas. Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations. Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch. Work in all types of weather. Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools. Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
