Job Summary:

Job Description: We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Supervisor to ensure strict adherence HR and safety standards. This Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and implementing safety protocols and ensuring the Human Resources department maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop and enforce HR and safety policies and procedures specific to the meat packing industry, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, company standards, and best practices.

• Conduct regular inspections of the facility, production lines, and equipment to identify safety hazards, and promptly implement corrective actions.

• Ensure compliance with lockout/tagout procedures for machinery maintenance and repairs, and conduct regular safety checks to prevent accidents and injuries.

• Investigate incidents, accidents, or near-misses related to safety, and implement preventive measures to minimize future occurrences.

• Handle investigations, discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to ensure effective HR and safety practices throughout the meat packing plant.

• Maintains a knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

• Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations, industry trends, and best practices in sanitation, safety, and food handling for the meat packing industry.

• Ensures all attendance and NCNS reports are ran daily and corrective action takes place.

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

• Bilingual (Spanish, French, Creole, Burmese)

Education and Experience:

• Must have Protein Manufacturing experience.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., USDA, FDA, OSHA), safety, and food handling in the meat packing industry.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.

• Climbing stairs.

• Regular Visits to Production Floor: Hot, Cold, Smells, PPE Required
