We’re looking for a C++ Software Engineer to join our Augmented Reality team!

What you’ll do:

• Design and develop features for Snapchat’s AR engine (including Lens Studio Ecosystem)

• Work closely with other teams to bring your features to Lens creators

• Participate in feature planning and creating technical specifications

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Strong computer science fundamentals

• Knowledge of scripting languages (one of Python or JavaScript)

• Understanding of Linux/Unix environment and command line tools

• Great communication skills; ability to work in a team

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of experience

• 7+ years of industry C++ development experience

• Experience with modern C+Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience creating developer-facing APIs and libraries

• Experience working with Qt framework

• Experience with rendering APIs such as DirectX, Metal, Vulkan or OpenGL

• Experience with a 3D rendering engine like Unity or Unreal

• Experience with libraries like OpenCV, Eigen and glm

• Experience with computer vision, sensors, or machine learning

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) (https://careers.snap.com/us-payzones) :

The base salary range for this position is $202,000-$303,000 annually.

Zone B (https://careers.snap.com/us-payzones) :

The base salary range for this position is $192,000-$288,000 annually.

Zone C (https://careers.snap.com/us-payzones) :

The base salary range for this position is $172,000-$257,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
