Netflix D&I Senior Manager, Game Production, External Games in Los Angeles, California

Netflix is looking for an experienced Diversity and Inclusion Lead to join the External Games team. This role will report into the Production Director and lead the formation and execution of our game's D&I strategy across the External Games portfolio, including plans for inclusive and accessible games. This role interacts with External games leadership, Producers, Business Development, Product Manager, and Creative Leads across External Games, as well as cross-functional partners, to create rigor around Game Design and development to ensure we are focused on Accessibility, Inclusion, and Diversity. Additionally, the Diversity and Inclusion Lead will work with External Affairs to help identify opportunities for Netflix games to support and amplify underrepresented developers and voices.

The candidate will have a proven track record of building strong D&I approaches and frameworks for games with the ability to execute, whilst supporting external development teams to deliver must-play games.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a shared D&I framework for games including goals and best practices.

  • Help guide and support Producers, Ops, and Designers to execute and implement best practices throughout development where appropriate.

  • Oversee daily operations of production within D&I initiatives, helping Producers and other cross-functional partners to understand what good looks like.

  • Manage a small team of Producers with a focus on accessibility.

  • Inspire the External Games team to think through diversity and inclusion during the production, development and design of Netflix Games.

  • Partner with External Games to ensure diversity and inclusion are an integral part of our game sourcing, development, and design frameworks.

  • Work with Business Affairs to help prioritize Games industry impact initiatives and provide input on how we can best serve the industry as well as support and amplify underrepresented talent.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in game development with a focus on Production, Project Management, and/or Design.

  • This includes roles such as Executive Producer, Development Director, Inclusive Game Manager, and Diversity Program Manager, which are accountable for D&I.

  • Direct experience working in areas that help teams progress in their diversity and inclusion efforts, including experience implementing frameworks that help developers think through representation and cultural differences.

  • Understanding of the ever-changing landscape when it comes to inclusion, accessibility, and representation within new media, tech, and the entertainment industry.

  • Experience leading through influence and inspiration, with the ability to cultivate relationships to promote results.

  • An uncanny knack for arriving at solutions through unconventional methods and developing a plan to put them into action.

  • Passionate about playing and creating games.

  • Passionate about ensuring our games can be played by everyone.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $160,000 - $610,000.

We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
