Charles Schwab Sr Manager, IT Product Management Lead (PL) in Lone Tree, Colorado

The objective of the Asset Transfer Team is to provide and create increased processing efficiencies and an ease of doing business for core Asset Transfer functions: Cash & Securities Journals, Check Processing, Bank Transfers (ACH), and Wires; and ACATS, Non-ACATS and Mutual Funds Transfer of Account solutions for all of Schwab. The individual in this role is responsible for managing the coordination and delivery of business and technology requests for the Asset Transfer Platform Delivery Team within the Banking Operations Platform group. The position will report to the Asset Transfer Platform Director and initially manage of team of 1-2 product owners / systems analysts.

  • Serve as the primary contact between our platform team and business partners to provide updates and transparency into our opportunity backlog.

  • Coordinate closely with our platform intake team to facilitate prioritization, business partner outreach, and execution of regular and expedited requests

  • Manage a team of 1-2 staff who will be responsible for supporting delivery functions within the Asset Transfer platform.

  • Provide leadership and oversight for recurring Asset Transfer Platform releases as needed

  • Work closely together with business, operations partners, vendor(s) and IT stakeholders including Business Leaders, Architects, Business and Systems Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, Network/Systems Administrators and Project Managers to orchestrate and facilitate backlog delivery.

  • Facilitate and host collaborative meeting sessions to manage capacity across our portfolio / teams.

  • Orchestrate complex, high-profile projects that require effort from multiple of our platform technology teams.

  • Develop and deliver presentations communicating capacity plans and roadmap information in a clear and concise structure.

  • Look for opportunities to develop and implement process improvements.

  • Provide general support to portfolio management and assist in special projects, as needed.

  • Coordinate and prioritize reported production issues in partnership with platform leadership and SAvE teams.

What you have

  • 5+ years of Platform / Product Management Experience

  • 1-4 years of experience as a people manager is preferred

  • Skilled in gathering and analyzing requirements impacting middleware applications/systems.

  • A critical thinker with superior written and oral communication skills as well as meeting facilitation skills.

  • Work Experience/knowledge of Agile, with substantial experience in tools like JIRA, Clarify, SharePoint, Confluence, etc.

  • Prior experience with supporting software applications in various capacities (business analyst, product owner, project manager etc.).

  • Demonstrates knowledge/ability to connect the dots -Ability to ask the right questions and elicit responses that will help determine the next best action in project execution.

  • Strong influencing skills, combined with consultative and relationship management experience.

  • Strong analytic, decision making and project management abilities. Team player with management skills and ability to influence in a matrix environment

  • Ability to foster collaboration, value other’s perspectives and gain support and buy-in for organizational proposals.

  • Ability to understand strategic objectives and translate into actionable plans and processes.

  • Flexible and able to manage time and multiple priorities.

  • Ability to take technical or theoretical information and apply it to day-to-day work considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.

  • Ability to define processes and provide direction and requirements for tool development.

  • Ability to leverage knowledge base to quickly come up to speed in new business areas and new projects.

  • Demonstrated passion around customer focus and improving processes that impacts results

  • Comfortable working in a sometimes ambiguous environment and driving clarity for opportunities presented to the platforms.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.

CO Salary Range: USD $124,000 - $164,500 / Year
